Marianne Perchlik

Marianne was apprenticed to choral music from a very early age. Her mother directed for 40 years a 60 member choir, which performed in the United States and throughout Europe, in her childhood home. More recently, Marianne has taught Choral Music at The Initiative: a Vermont Waldorf High School as a member of the faculty there.  She has directed the Old Meetinghouse Christmas Pageant since 2012. Marianne is a member of the Montpelier Gospel Choir, both Big and Small choirs. She is a songwriter and recording artist who has released three CDs. Marianne has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross in English and Theatre. She holds a Juris Doctorate and a Masters in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. She is also a certified Waldorf High School Teacher, and certified Birthing From Within Childbirth Mentor.  Marianne lives in Marshfield Vermont with her husband Andrew. They have raised three children who have now all graduated from the Orchard Valley Waldorf School where Marianne teaches in the Morning Garden.
